Car Used In Alleged Assassination Attempt On Brown Mogotsi Declared Unroadworthy

It has come to light that the vehicle driven by controversial businessman Brown Mogotsi during his alleged assassination attempt in Vosloorus was not roadworthy.
Mogotsi claims that unknown gunmen targeted him on Monday night while he was driving through Vosloorus on Gauteng’s East Rand. According to him, suspects in a white bakkie opened fire as he drove a red Chevrolet sedan.
The vehicle, now impounded at the Vosloorus Police Station, is undergoing ballistic examination as investigators collect and analyse firearm evidence.

When officers located the red Chevrolet used in the alleged shooting, they discovered it had no licence disc displayed. All four tyres were visibly worn out, with the treads almost completely faded.
SurgeZirc SA has learned that Mogotsi purchased the car second-hand from a dealership on the East Rand earlier this year.

Authorities have indicated that if Mogotsi’s claims prove false, he could face charges of defeating the ends of justice.
