Cape Town Family Traumatised After Discovering Foetus In Bag Of ‘Chicken Meat’

A family in Wesbank, Cape Town, has been left traumatised after discovering a foetus inside a plastic bag that they believed contained chicken meat. The disturbing discovery was made on Monday evening, police have confirmed.

Natalie Walton said her sister was given the bag by a man who claimed it contained fresh chicken.

“She didn’t pay him but told him she would braai the meat and share it with him. When she opened the bag to spice the meat, she realised it was a foetus. She was so shocked that she ran out of the house and called the neighbour and the police,” Walton recounted.

She described the foetus as a premature baby girl.

Man Claims He Was Given the Bag in Mfuleni, Cape Town

Walton said the man who gave her sister the bag explained that he had received it from a woman in Mfuleni. “She gave him the bag, told him it was chicken, and also gave him bread. When he arrived in Wesbank, he tried to sell it, but since my sister had no money, he gave it to her instead,” Walton explained.

Her sister has since requested counselling due to the traumatic nature of the discovery.
