Brotherly Love Turns Deadly, Man Stabs To Death Over Dog Dispute

A tragic incident unfolded on a farm near Warden, Free State, where a 29-year-old man allegedly stabbed his brother to death during an argument over a dog.
The altercation occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning at Ha-Mafutha Farm, where both brothers resided.

Fatal Dispute
According to Free State police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmakho Mophiring, the conflict began when the suspect accused his brother, Lerole Pitso, of injuring his dog.
The argument escalated, resulting in a physical fight, during which Pitso was stabbed with a sharp object.

Despite being conscious and able to speak upon arrival at the hospital, Pitso succumbed to his injuries while being treated.
Arrest And Charges

The 29-year-old suspect sustained injuries to his hand after being struck with a stick and was later discharged from the hospital.

He has since been arrested and charged with murder.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Warden Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
