BREAKING | Deputy Police Commissioner Sibiya Faces Imminent Arrest

Suspended Deputy National Commissioner Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya is reportedly on the verge of being arrested.
SurgeZirc SA has learned that a team of SAPS officers arrived at his Centurion residence, where they are expected to take him into custody on charges of defeating the ends of justice.
Sibiya’s legal representative, Ian Levitt, confirmed that they had not been officially informed of the specific charges.
“We have not been told exactly what the charges are,” Levitt said.
Tensions Within SAPS Leadership
Sibiya’s troubles began in July, when National Commissioner Fannie Masemola placed him on leave of absence following explosive allegations from KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
According to Mkhwanazi, Sibiya allegedly conspired with information peddler Brown Mogotsi from the North West and Police Minister Senzo Mchunu to disband the KZN political killings task team — a serious claim that shook the police hierarchy.

Shadrack has strongly rejected the allegations, describing them as “baseless lies.”
He claimed that Mkhwanazi’s accusations were driven by anger over the arrest of Crime Intelligence boss Dumisani Khumalo, a close ally of the KZN police chief.
In September, Sibiya’s situation worsened when he was formally suspended, just a week after losing a court bid to be reinstated. In that case, Sibiya argued that his enforced leave was unlawful, but the court ruled against him.
