Bonko Khoza Breaks Silence, Denying Every Allegation Made By Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku

Actor Bonko Khoza has released a public statement responding to sexual misconduct allegations made against him by actress Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku, relating to an incident allegedly occurring during the filming of Red Ink in September 2023.

The three-page statement was published on Instagram on Monday 18 May 2026. Both parties have now made their accounts public, and the matter continues to draw significant attention across South Africa.

Bonko Khoza Responds To Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku Allegations With Detailed Account Of Events On Set

In addressing the Bonko Khoza and Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku allegations directly, Khoza stated that the scene in question was rehearsed in advance, with the director, director of photography, and stunt coordinator present throughout.

He noted that more than twelve crew members were on set during filming and that none reported conduct consistent with the allegations made. Khoza further stated that unedited footage was reviewed by all relevant parties on 30 November 2023, and that no sexual misconduct was identified at that time.

Regarding the legal process, Khoza revealed that a formal case was opened against him in May 2024, but that authorities chose not to pursue prosecution following receipt of his sworn statement.

He stated that the matter had been examined both internally by production and by law enforcement. In his statement, Khoza said he stands by victims of sexual assault whilst firmly denying that any misconduct occurred in relation to Nokwe-Mseleku.

A Matter That Has Had Lasting Consequences For Both Parties

Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku has described the alleged incident in specific terms, stating that during filming Khoza allegedly pushed his private parts against her during a scene that required him to push her against a car bonnet.

She has said the experience has permanently affected her relationship with the entertainment industry and that she will not be returning to traditional acting.

Khoza, in turn, described the past two and a half years as deeply painful, stating that the allegations had placed his integrity, career, and role as a parent under considerable strain.
