Body Of Man Found In Overgrown Vegetation

A gruesome discovery was made in Oakford, KZN, on Tuesday morning, when residents stumbled upon the body of a man in overgrown vegetation.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the body was found next to the road in an area known as New Houses, with clothes soaked in blood and a penetrating wound to the head.

Investigation Underway

RUSA officials disclosed that the victim was discovered in a  pool of blood on the road approximately 15 meters away.

They noted that, the identity of the victim has not been established at this stage.

RUSA Reaction Officers and paramedics were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation is currently underway.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Suspects Flee With Stolen Goods

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the victim was crossing from Todd Street to Ireland Street on foot when the suspects, armed with pistols, confronted him.

They made off with R930 in cash, a Huawei P40 Lite, and a Nokia C21 mobile phone.

The victim’s wallet, minus the cash, was recovered near the scene. The suspects remain at large, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
