Despite wearing a neck brace, the 47-year-old musician exuded style, donning dark shades and a sharp black suit. His son, whose mother is Black Coffee’s estranged wife, Enhle Mbali, looked dapper in a black and white outfit with neatly braided cornrows.

The father-and-son duo were seated behind Cape Town mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis and his wife Carla, although it remains unclear why Black Coffee attended the event. This appearance marks the DJ’s first public outing since the flight accident that occurred in early January.

According to reports, the accident was caused by severe turbulence during Black Coffee’s private plane journey to Argentina for a gig. The DJ’s representatives confirmed that he suffered significant injuries and had to make an emergency landing at Montevideo Airport in Uruguay. Currently, he is under observation at a clinic in the same city.

Despite the setback, Black Coffee’s presence at the SONA address shows his resilience and determination to continue his musical journey. Fans around the world eagerly await his full recovery and the return of his electrifying performances.
