South African icon Basetsana Kumalo has added another feather to her illustrious cap!
The former Miss South Africa and celebrated businesswoman was recently awarded the BPI Mid-Mile Category Award, recognising leaders over 50 who have exemplified ethical leadership and unwavering consistency in their careers.
The award ceremony took place on 4th October, and Kumalo shared the exciting news on her social media, expressing her gratitude for the honour.

In her acceptance speech, Kumalo described the award as a “full-circle moment” in her career, which spans television, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy.

She emphasised that “true leadership is not about titles, accolades, or even the spotlight,” but rather the “long road of service” and the duty “to create space where others can rise.”
