Babes Wodumo Set To Drop New Album ‘Mabheshingo’ With Unreleased Mampintsha Tracks

South African gqom superstar Babes Wodumo (real name Bongekile Simelane) is making her big return to the music scene. The award-winning hitmaker will release her brand-new album Mabheshingo on Friday, 3 October 2025.

Originally planned as an EP, the project grew into a full-length album after Babes decided to include extra tracks recorded with her late husband, Mampintsha.

“I added a few songs Mampintsha left me with. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it,” Babes shared. She also confidently reminded fans, “I’m still the Queen of Gqom.”

Babes Wodumo’s Fans Can Pre-Order ‘Mabheshingo’

The official pre-order link for the album goes live on Friday. This marks Babes’ first studio project since her 2020 release, Indando Kazi.

Babes Wodumo is no stranger to breaking barriers. Her explosive debut single Wololo (2015) introduced gqom to mainstream audiences and positioned her as a powerhouse of the genre.
