Babes Wodumo Claps At Mampintsha’s Sister Over “Fake” Lobola And Wedding Claims

Not Pinky stirring the pot! Babes Wodumo is not here for the lies and is setting the record straight after Mampintsha’s sister, Pinky Gumede, came out with some wild allegations about their wedding.

According to Pinky, the late musician never actually paid lobola for Babes, and the whole wedding was just a Showmax-funded production stunt. Y’all, the streets are shaking!

Pinky’s Explosive Claims: “Mampintsha Was Broke!”

Pinky recently did an interview where she dropped some bombs. She claimed Mampintsha wasn’t financially stable at the time of the wedding and that he “was under pressure” to go through with it. Sis even said Mampintsha was “intoxicated” on the big day and didn’t even remember most of it!

Oh, but she wasn’t done. Pinky also accused the production company behind the reality show Uthando Lodumo of funding the wedding—from the outfits to even Mampintsha’s wedding ring!

Chile, she went as far as saying the Simelane family didn’t even receive a proper lobola payment and that Zulu traditions were “disrespected” because no rituals were performed.

Babes Wodumo’s Team Is Not Having It!

As expected, Babes Wodumo did not take this disrespect lying down. Her manager and sister, Nondumiso Simelane, came through with receipts and READ Pinky for filth! “Pinky knows nothing about lobola negotiations,” she fired back. “Mandla was never broke, and he paid lobola from his own pocket.”

She made it clear that Showmax and the production company had nothing to do with it. “We, as the Simelane family, received lobola from Mandla, not Showmax. Pinky wouldn’t know this because she never helped Mandla financially in any way.” whew! Somebody check on Pinky!

Was the Wedding Just for TV?

Let’s not forget, Uthando Lodumo gave us an inside look at Babes and Mampintsha’s traditional and white wedding. But now, Pinky is saying it was all just a production stunt and not a real cultural ceremony. She swears Mampintsha privately complained about it and only went along with the wedding because he was financially struggling.

But Babes’ team is saying nah! Every Zulu custom was followed, and Mandla’s “immediate family knew everything.”
