Armed Robbery At Ga-Chuene Petrol Station: Limpopo Police Recover Stolen Items

A petrol station in Ga-Chuene, within the Lebowakgomo policing precinct, was the scene of an early-morning armed robbery on Monday, 28 April 2025.
According to police reports, the Provincial Flying Squad responded after receiving a complaint of a robbery in progress.

Suspects had reportedly held employees hostage and disarmed a security guard.
Upon arrival, police officers disrupted the suspects, who fled on foot into the surrounding bushes. No injuries have been reported at the scene.
Police Recover Stolen Goods
During the foot chase, members of the Flying Squad recovered several items abandoned by the fleeing suspects.

These include a grinder, cutting discs, an iron bar, a crowbar, a balaclava, a flat-screen television, and various stock items stolen from the petrol station.

These recovered items are believed to be linked directly to the attempted robbery, which appeared to involve plans to breach secure areas using the recovered tools.
Manhunt
A manhunt is currently underway as police intensify efforts to track down the suspects.
