Anele Zondo and L-Tido were at Hollywoodbets Durban July this weekend, both in white, both clearly aware of what they were doing. They posed together, posted the pictures, and captioned the whole thing “Me & U” with a heart emoji.

That’s it. That’s all they gave us. And obviously it wasn’t enough, because now half of Mzansi Twitter has opened an investigation.

Nobody’s confirmed anything. Nobody’s denied anything either, which at this point might be the more telling detail.

The outfits alone would’ve gotten people talking, but it’s the caption that broke everyone. “Me & U” is not something you write under a picture with your platonic friend, and Mzansi knows this.

Mawhoo said it best in the comments: “Are you guys really dating? You guys look good together.” Zanele Potelwa didn’t even bother with a question, she just wrote “POWER COUPLE” and left it there. Alphi Sipho added “You guys ate this up yesterday,” which, fair.

Over on X it was the same energy. @ZoeyTheSavage29 wrote, “Are they together cause they would definitely suit each other,” and that comment alone picked up a decent bit of traction. People aren’t asking if there’s something going on anymore, they’re just asking when it becomes official.

That L-Tido Podcast Kiss Is Getting A Second Look Now

This whole thing didn’t start at Durban July. Back in July last year, L-Tido and Anele Zondo did an episode of the L-Tido Podcast together that went sideways fast. He told her, “Your lips look soft.” She shot back, “Are you trying to taste?” And then they kissed. On camera. Not a bit, not a stunt for views, it happened and everyone watched it happen in real time.

At the time people mostly just reacted — shock, laughing, the usual. But going back to it now, after the white outfits and the “Me & U” caption, it plays differently. It looks less like a random moment and more like the start of something they’ve been sitting on for a year.

Whether they ever actually confirm it is another story. Anele Zondo and L-Tido have both stayed quiet on the “are we dating” question so far, and honestly, the silence is doing more work than a statement would.
