Anele Mdoda Explodes At ‘Degenerate’ Tweep Over GBVF Joke — Mzansi Says She Overreacted

Anele Mdoda doesn’t take such topics lightly. South Africa has turned purple in solidarity with victims of gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) — but as usual, social media had to show up with chaos.

While thousands changed their profile pictures to purple in support of the Women For Change movement and celebrities rallied behind the cause, one man decided to crack a joke… and Anele Mdoda was having none of it.

The man posted on X: “Responding to the wrong girlfriend because they all have the same purple profile picture.”

A harmless jab? A reckless mockery? Depends on who you ask. But Anele Mdoda saw red — or rather, purple — and went straight for the jugular.

The radio star blasted not only the man but also the women who found his post funny:

“And to all the women who are laughing at this degenerate of an a-hole, I’m glad you are still alive to laugh. Let’s hope it stays that way since the very men you Ka Ka with are the ones who are killing us. Rubbish and dust.”

Strong words. Nuclear words. Words that lit X on fire.

Mzansi Responds: “Anele Mdoda, Relax — It Was a Joke”

Whether Anele was justified or dramatic became the new national debate. South Africans weighed in, and they did not hold back:
