59-Year-Old Man Shot Dead Inside Car Outside Home In Bultfontein

A 59-year-old man was shot and killed inside his vehicle in Phahameng, Bultfontein, on Thursday evening.

Police responded to a shooting at approximately 19:00 and found the victim, identified as Masikane David Moletsane, seated in the driver’s seat of a white Suzuki Fronx.

He was unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the neck. Emergency services declared him dead at the scene.

Police Describe Scene After Shooting

On arrival, officers were directed to the vehicle by a woman at the property.

The victim was found slumped in the driver’s seat, with his head resting on the passenger side. The driver’s window had been shattered.

Police confirmed that the victim had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

Gunshots Heard Moments Before Discovery

Preliminary information indicates that the victim had been parking vehicles in the garage when the shooting occurred.

His wife and daughter, who were inside the house, reportedly heard two gunshots. They went outside to investigate and found the vehicle damaged.

The victim was discovered inside, covered in blood.

Police have opened a murder case. The motive remains unknown and no arrests have been made.
