46 Year Old Emmanuel Mambo Sentenced For Rape Of Teenager

A 46-year-old man, Sibusiso Emmanuel Mambo, has been sentenced to an effective 20-year prison term for raping a teenage boy.
Mambo was sentenced following the victim’s courage in reporting the crime to the police which led to arrest and subsequent conviction.

The incident occurred in September 2022, and Mambo was apprehended by the community and handed over to the police.

Detective Sergeant Sifiso Gigaba of the Port Shepstone Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit conducted a thorough investigation, gathering evidence that ensured Mambo’s conviction.

Gigaba’s work led to the sentence and removal of Mambo from society, bringing closure to the victim and his family.

The Scottburgh Regional Court sentenced Mambo to 20 years in prison.

His name will be entered into the National Register for Sexual Offenders.
