43 Year Old Killed During Home Invasion

A 43-year-old man was brutally bludgeoned to death during a home invasion in Ntapuka, Ndwedwe – KZN.

The incident occurred on Thursday night, but residents only contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance on Friday.

Upon arrival, Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics found the deceased lying in a pool of blood in his living room.

He was naked and had sustained blunt force trauma to his head and face.

Community In Shock Over Man Killed

According to neighbors, the incident was part of a larger crime spree in which six suspects, armed with firearms and knives, terrorized the community.

The suspects, traveling in two vehicles, initially targeted a 65-year-old man who operates a tuck shop from his residence.

They demanded cash and stabbed him in the chest.

A neighbor who investigated the disturbance was pursued by the suspects and assaulted.

Her husband was also pistol-whipped and assaulted when he came to her aid.

The suspects then proceeded to the deceased’s residence, where they broke the windows, gained entry, and bludgeoned him to death.

Authorities Take Care Of Victims

The 65-year-old stab victim and the male who was pistol-whipped were taken to a medical facility for treatment.

The elderly male was later transferred to a specialist hospital due to the extent of his injuries.

The community is still reeling from the brutal attack, and police are investigating the incident.
