On Friday night, protestors calling for the release of imprisoned former president Jacob Zuma intensified their campaign in KwaZulu-Natal, setting fire to more than 25 trucks.

Under the banner of ‘Free Jacob Zuma,’ supporters of the former president, primarily from KZN, have been blocking major highways and intersections in the province since Thursday after the former president checked into the Estcourt Correctional Services Centre in the early hours of Thursday to begin serving his 15-month prison sentence for contempt of court.
