Frenemies? Dineo just told the truth and nothing but the whole truth making her friend look like a liar. It seems like the world is turning on Somizi, his friends no longer got his back, shame… We guess it’s only a matter of time till Vusi Nova makes a run too.

You’d recall that last year around April, the Idols SA judge was arrested and granted bail after transport minister Fikile Mbalula laid a charge against him. That came after South Africans were very furious as Somizi claimed in a video on social media that Mbalula had told him President Cyril Ramaphosa would extend the nationwide lockdown.

Interestingly their matter is now heading to court and guess who is the key state witness? Well… well… well, it’s actually his best friend Dineo Ranaka Pesha. The Metro FM DJ who is expected to be a state witness, was subpoenaed by the National Prosecuting Authority to answer questions in relation to the case of misinformation or spreading of fake news.

And it turns out she told nothing but the whole truth in her statement. And her truthful statement differs from the one that Somizi gave. According to Somizi, he said that he was only joking when he said Mbalula informed him that Ramaphosa was going to put the country on alert level 2 of lockdown.

But then Dineo begs to differ, her version of the story is as follows, she told prosecutors that she was chatting to her fans on Instagram Live when Mhlongo chimed in uninvited and made the announcement.

She said Mhlongo only announced later when things got heated on Twitter that his remarks about Mbalula and the lockdown were a bad joke and later apologised to the politician. Hmmm, let’s sit back and see how the matter unfolds for Mohale’s uncle bae.
