Since the tragedy, she has been publicly grieving the loss of her husband Dumi. She often shares her grief on social media, looking back to happier times with Masilela. In 2020 Simz took to social media to share that she was expecting her first child with model and television personality, Tino Chinyani. The actress debuted her baby bump in a beautiful maternity shoot that she shared with her social media followers.

The news of her pregnancy was received with mixed emotions on social media. Some people celebrated the couple’s love and their new bundle of joy, but many took to social media to attack the star for moving on too quickly.

She then delivered to a healthy and handsome baby boy though she’d never let us in on the difficulties she went through during pregnancy. Taking everyone back to her pregnancy journey the actress explained how she was grateful that she pulled through as it was a difficult one.

“It’s still so unbelievable that I carried a whole human being. I had the most difficult pregnancy ever! At some point, I didn’t think we were gonna make it. I remember my dad saying, “They better get that baby out before he kills my baby,” but God had us,” she wrote.
