Imagine being famous at the age of 18 without a public relations officer, you could simply self-sabotage. That’s was the case of Babes Wodumo who shined a few years ago but lost it all due to her mistakes.
The star who is now 26-years-old has realised that she has made so many mistakes on her road to fame. Babes Wodumo had an interview on MacG’s podcast and chill and what an honest soul we have in her.
The Gqom queen told it all though she is still not well articulated but has matured. Babes said among the things she regrets was how she has spent her money recklessly and not paying her dancers well which have all gone to dance for Andile Mpisane.
Babes Wodumo said in her prime she used to make a million rands per week and didn’t save the money but spent it all on weaves and alcohol. “I was too young, I am still a child so when fame came at that stage, I was clueless on a lot of things. I still look back to those times and say to myself had fame come at the stage that I’m currently there’s a lot I would have done differently.”
She also spoke on her relationship with Mampintsha saying though at first, she didn’t like him. “He was busy shouting during a video and I looked at him like, ‘why is this fat man with a small shirt busy calling me’.”
And now here she is with Mampintsha still going strong after 10 years of dating. Mampintsha has paid lobola and they are set to get married soon. She also added that she has been laying low for now because of the challenges she’s currently facing in her life.
One other thing that viewers really disapproved of is that Mampintsha kept calling all throughout the interview and at a point, he even requested for Babes to send him a video to prove that she was still at the interview. Well, there was a lot that she discussed you can check the video out below:
