Iyohhh! What a horrifying experience for DJ Maphorisa and his team… It was a narrow escape for the muso and his team after gunmen were hired to finish him off allegedly after stealing someone’s woman.
Details are still sketchy at the moment as he musos have gone into hiding however Katlehong police have confirmed the shooting incident. On Monday, February 8, they had visited (went partying) in Spruitview in the East Rand as they were leaving they took a few girls with them.

But one of girl’s boyfriend wasn’t impressed and sent hitmen to attack them. The artists who were being driven in their Mercedes-Benz tour bus were then approached by Audi A4 which fired shots at them. Starting from the back the Audi shot the Mercedes then drove pass them to shoot their front.
The car then immediately disappeared leaving some of the passengers injured in the car. Two of the artists were also injured during the attack and are now hospitalised and in ICU at the Union Hospital in Alberton. One of them has been rumoured to be their newly discovered talent from the Vaal DJ Deetoy who recently released his killer EP Petle Petle.
Maphorisa and his team have since opened an attempted murder at Katlehong police station. People who claimed to know of the incident better said that Maphorisa and team were partying it up with another man’s girlfriend apparently named Nia, who was in that Mercedes-Benz bus.
