Our artists should learn when to say no to scripts… some roles are too embarrassing for them to play. A perfect example is what’s currently happening to Brenda Ngxoli on The Queen. The Norma character was supposed to be given to a new actress… not an actress of her calibre.

Brenda was introduced to us over a decade ago and she quickly became many people’s favourites as the lady serving justice to all her roles. Remember her role on Home Affairs? The lady was so natural. We all could see that she was born for acting like it’s runs in her blood.

From there she played a few roles and again she worked with the Fergusons on Rockville then went quiet for a while. We then saw Brenda on The River where she stars as Zweli Dikana’s sister, she might not be playing a significant role but when she appears on screen we all get our jaws ready as we know Dambisa will leave everyone in stitches.

When Brenda landed a role on The Queen a lot of her fans jubilated as they knew what the actress is cable of. But then we got introduced to someone who was trying out some fake American accent and later she forgot about the accent diverted to an unknown and weird accent.

In fact, each time viewers see her on-screen they feel like turning off the TVs. At this point, we wondering if sis is just following the script or has she lost her talent. Viewers who haven’t seen her before playing any other role are now complaining that she possesses poor acting skills. But many of us know that’s not the case and we can’t help but shift the blame on the Fergusons for giving Brenda Ngxoli such a pathetic role and killing her career.
