DJ Fresh and Euphonik are stepping away from the mic, amid rape allegations against them. The pair reached an agreement with Primedia Broadcasting that they would step down from their roles with immediate effect after rape cases were opened against the two.
A woman accused the pair of drugging and raping her in 2011. The internet was left shaking after a lady took to Twitter to tell her rape story, where she accuses the two besties of drugging her and both taking turns to rape her and her three friends.
She did however say that she was unsure of which them exactly did the deeds as she was drugged. The two artists are employed by music radio station 947. Primedia issued a statement stating that they’re suspending the two DJ’s from 947 until further notice.
“947 and Primedia Broadcasting have engaged with DJ Fresh (Thato Sikwane) and Euphonik (Themba Nkosi) regarding the alleged sexual assault charges levelled against them. We take these matters extremely seriously and apply a rigorous, systematic internal process to assess them. Primedia Broadcasting, DJ Fresh and Euphonik have reached a mutual decision for both DJs to come off air in order to focus on addressing this matter,” the statement read.
