Geoff Makhubo has accused the Action SA leader and his predecessor Herman Mashaba of almost financially collapsing the city.
But Mashaba insists the wrongdoing was done before his tenure. Speaking to JJ Tabane on Power to Truth on eNCA, Mashaba says Makhubo is the culprit. “He started a business, calling himself a businessman acting on behalf of the Guptas,” says Mashaba.

Makhubo has previously accused the former City of Johannesburg of misconduct. He has accused Mashaba of ruining the finances of the metro. In response to the allegations, Mashaba said he can’t take lessons in finance, ethics or truth from someone who was allegedly profiting from a relationship with a Gupta-linked company.
