Nandi Madida certainly didn’t get to where she is today by mistake, our lady has hustled, fought battles and overcome boulders for 17 incredible years and has so much to show for it.

The singer took to her Instagram to remind everyone of her humble beginning at the age of 15 while she was still being referred to as AGENT Nandi, LOL!

Let’s take you back to her journey though we won’t be able to speak of all her achievements in one article. Her success in a talent search led to a position as a performer at the Gateway Mall in Umhlanga. In 2004, the singer who was only 15 landed her first television job as host of the SABC2 pre-teen entertainment show called Bling, which mainly focused on music and movies.

A few years later, Nandi delved into music, she released her first single Tonight in 2011 and to her luck, she got signed with  Universal Music Group and released her debut album Nandi.

In 2013, she co-hosted alongside ProVerb and Dineo Ranaka in the Mzansi Magic Magazine programme All Access Mzansi. A year later Nandi and K.O released their hit song Skhanda Love

We hope we ain’t serving you with too much 411 but we know it’s worth it especially if you’re her fan.  The star then hit our television screens again as she played Zokuthula Dhlomo in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Road.

Reminding us of her journey the musician took to her Instagram to share a video of herself presenting 17 years ago and she wrote: ” This is my definition of “overnight success”, I was 15 years old when I had my first TV audition and got the job on a national TV Network – SABC 2.

“A Durban teenager who had big dreams of impacting the world with her love for entertainment. 17 years later, I feel humbled that I’m still doing what God brought me on this earth to do, share his message through entertainment. May I continue to serve his purpose always. Onwards and upwards.”
