A lot of people have seen King Of Joburg and they didn’t regret taking time out to watch it. For SK and Abdul Khoza’s fans, they were more excited by the fact their two favourites were staring together.
Let’s get into the action-packed series, Kings of Joburg is Netflix’s most recent African series. The streaming service partnered with Connie and Shona Ferguson alongside Samad Davis of U.S based Visionary Media Inc. to make it happen.
It’s a thrilling test of loyalties under the gritty, concentrated populous of the crime-ridden streets of the city of Johannesburg. The palpable action-drama series with a layer of dark fantasy and a sinister aspect of the African occult.
The story delves into legacy building, fragmented family structures, treacherous brotherhoods and the effects of crime and African masculinities on families and society at large.
Loyalties will be tested, with long-held secrets threatening to shatter the fragile façade. Well, SK stars as Cyrus Khuzwayo while Abdul plays the role of Lester Khuzwayo. Expressing their joy of working together the brothers took to Instagram to post a video where they were seen popping some champagne and giving a little speech.
“We’re making history not only on TV, but we’re making history as brothers. We are the Khoza brothers who are from Kwa-Zulu Natal. Now, we’re taking Africa to the world, baby. I want to take this opportunity to say that tomorrow we will officially be internationally known as the Kings Of Joburg,” said SK Khoza.
