Molapo was accused in 2017 of giving information from the DA Tshwane government to the EFF.

Molapo was found guilty of Leaking confidential party information to political opponents. To date, the Gauteng Interim leader Msimanga has denied ever sexually harassing her.

The DA said this has led to instability in its caucus, government and the City of Tshwane.

Meanwhile, Molapo accused former mayor, Msimanga of sexual harassment.

The party said Msimanga considers this a smear campaign and pre-emption of the finding against Molapo.

He has opened a counter-claim against Molapo of crime injuria. However, the attempt by DA could see many women to fear to report sexual harassment cases should it arises within the organisation.

These incidents happen as DA is set to go for their National conference to elect their leadership. All these attempts as seen a smear campaign for power.

With all tension happening in parties, this could affect Tshwane to have another 5 years without stable leadership, which in return affect the people of Tshwane.
