President Cyril Ramaphosa has officially reprimanded Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and he has docked her salary for three months.

Ramaphosa issued the formal rebuke to the minister after her report on why an ANC delegation used an SANDF aircraft to travel to Zimbabwe for talks about the political unrest there.

He ordered the minister’s salary be paid to the Solidarity Fund for the next three months starting from 1 November, as detailed in a reprimand for the African National Congress (ANC) delegation trip to Zimbabwe.
