The United Democratic Movement (UDM) President Bantu Holomisa is calling for cabinet to resign with immediate effect.

This is following corruption under the ruling party African National Congress (ANC) executives, during this pandemic with regards to Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) tenders.

He said the looting by members of the governing party dates back to 1995. He added that is not something new, they have been doing that ever-since post apartheid.

Holomisa said all members of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s cabinet must resign with immediate effect. UDM leader said R500 billion that was set aside to battle with coronavirus has disappeared in the hands of ruling party.

He alluded that ANC executives and their families has looted R500 Billion, which was supposed to be used to assist South Africans in battling with COVID-19. UDM is of the view that all cabinet members in government must step down.

Ramaphosa has established a team of ministers to investigate corruption around COVID-19 funds, from UIF funds to PPE tender.

However, many South Africans views this establishment as another state funds wastage like Commission of Inquiry into state capture. Ramaphosa promised that everyone involved in corruption must be held accountable.
