One SA Movement calls upon Gauteng Premier David Makhura to fire Gauteng MEC Bandile Masuku in relation to the R125 million PPE tender awarded to the husband of Ms Khusela Diko.
“It is common cause that MEC Masuku’s and Diko have a close, personal relationship which raises suspections as to what extend did Diko played a role in awarding the tender,” said One SA Movement.
The movement said this conflict of interest, should be a reason enough to to fire the MEC.
They said it is even more disgusting that even in this pandemic, the ANC cadres continues to help themselves by stealing from the public.
One SA Movement is calling upon Makhura to act out to this blander and demonstrate to people of Gauteng that all allegations of corruption are being dealt with in the strongest terms.
According to the movement Diko’s stance to take a leave of absence in pending investigations into a tender is not enough.
“She should have been fired with immediate effect, but the mercy president depicted shows his weakness as the state president,” it said.
They said president’s attitude to suspend officials found in corruption without an action is totally meaningless.
“Government need to act harsh in dealing with corruption and Makhura has to fire MEC Masuku,” they alluded.
