It’s no secret that many lives have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown. The one major problem being job losses. Media personality Anele Mdoda and her Radio show The 947 Breakfast Club have decided to help pregnant women who have lost their jobs, with money to help them through the lockdown.
The media personality took to social media to say thank you to Mzansi for their contribution to raise funds for The Baby Box Project for pregnant women.
The initiative managed to raise close to R300 00 thus far and they’re still going.
“This week, my radio show raised over R200 00 to support mom’s to be who have lost their income because of Covid-19. Going to give birth is already an anxiety-filled experience, imagine not having a blanket to wrap your baby In. Thank you SA “, she wrote.

Though Covid-19 is seen as a global disaster, it has surely shown how much South Africans care for one another. Everyone is doing their bit to help and it surely showcases the ideal African dream President Nelson Mandela had.
