WATCH | Thief Found Trapped In A Window Upside Down

Lockdown has shown flames to a thief that was caught trapped in a window trying to free himself after housebreaking went wrong in Klerksdorp, North West.

Provincial police spokesperson Col Adele Myburgh confirmed the incident, which was recorded on video, it occurred in the wee hours of Saturday.

In the video, the thief can be seen with his body upside down and wearing a blue jersey. He finds it hard to free himself from the window, leaving bloodstains on the wall from his hand while screaming out in agony.

He calls out a woman inside the house, who is capturing the whole scenario, begging her to let him explain.

“Let me explain,” he pleads while trying to take off his sweater.

Myburgh said the incident occurred around 4.55 am in Klerksdorp, North West.

“The 39-year-old is in court. He was not seriously injured during this incident.”

Myburgh said a case of housebreaking was being investigated.
