Parly Committee Meeting Interrupted By Pornography Pictures

Perplexed Members of Parliaments were welcomed with the disturbing pictures as they joined the Zoom meeting shortly before it was about to begin at 9 am on Thursday.

An effective meeting of the National Assembly’s programming committee has had to be delayed after it was interrupted by pornographic pictures presented on the screen.

Insults were also thrown at National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise who was expected to lead the assembly.

Perplexed Members of Parliaments were welcomed with the disturbing pictures as they joined the Zoom meeting shortly before it was about to begin at 9 am on Thursday.

Apart from the pornographic pictures that were presented on the screen, bodiless voices also threw racial insults at Modise and pleaded with her to bare her breasts.

Members of Parliaments described the incident as “sick” and “disturbing”.

Modise dismissed the meeting after ordering that technicians should fix the problem but was set on that the meeting should continue.

Zoom meetings are ill-famed for security weaknesses that allow for meetings to be hacked.

A meeting summoned by Minister for Women, Youth, and Persons with Disability Maite Nokoana-Mashabane was also presented by pornographers last month.
