With the world suffering from the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Madagascar claims to be offering a glimmer of hope to end the crisis with its ‘herbal cure’
Madagascar has launched it’s ‘herbal cure’ made out of organic material and drugs used in the Malaria vaccine. According to a statement sent to BBC by Madagascar authorities, the cure was scientifically tested on several humans and yielded positive results.
The country’s president, Angry Rajoelina was impressed with the news and has since approved the use of the coronavirus cure.
However, the World Health Organisation has distanced it’s self about the use of the cure and said that there were no short cuts to finding the cure. WHO wrote in a statement, “Self-medication with any medicine as a prevention or cure Covid-19, the international trials were underway to find an effective treatment”.
The country has caught many people by surprise and has attracted a bunch of countries attention to import the cure to their respective countries. Tanzania and Equatorial Guinea have come out stating that they were fully in support of the cure and will, therefore, import it. Tanzanian President, John Magafuli said he will be sending a team of officials to Madagascar to explore the cure.
“I am communicating with Madagascar, and they have written a letter saying they have discovered some medicine. We will despatch a fight to bring medicine do that Tanzanians also benefit, ” said President Magafuli.
Political commentators were of the view that this was the perfect time for Africa to implement its solution to the problem to this pandemic affecting the world.
