Ramaphosa Expected To Announce Eased Lockdown Regulations

South Africans are expecting President Cyril Ramaphosa to announce eased national lockdown regulations on Thursday.

On Tuesday, President Cyril Ramaphosa revealed an R500 billion relief plan aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus.

So far, 65 people have died from the virus while confirmed cases have escalated to 3,635 over the country.

As with many countries around the world, the collision of coronavirus in South Africa has been disastrous.

The spread of the deadly virus has caused the government to execute a hard lockdown, which is expected to be lifted at the end of this month.

Today, South Africans will be impatiently waiting for Cyril Ramaphosa to make an announcement based on how this will be done.

Ramaphosa has said that the government will take a risk-adjusted decision to restart the economy while curbing the spread of the coronavirus.

He has warned that the sudden reopening may result in an unmanageable renewal of infections.
