Seems like South Africans are really having it hard to adapt to the new regulations of #AlcoholfreeSA as they are keeping tabs on the dates counting down each passing day lol.
It has been in lockdown for seven days, with widespread regulations on movement, borders closed and travel restrictions in place.
Regulations specify that only essential items can be bought during the lockdown, and “essential items” does not involve alcohol.
A week into the 21-day lockdown, many South Africans have celebrated the lack of alcohol in their homes while others have been mopping around the idea of 14 more days without any drops. From still having money in their account to not having heavy hangovers, here are the comments of those who find it really hard going a day without getting tipsy lol.

I may have to write to the President requesting that alcohol should not be sold after 18:00 in South Africa even after this lockdown. Clearly South Africans can do this. #AlcoholFreeSA
