ANC MP Boy Mamabolo is ready to justify allegations about Malema abusing his wife. Mamabolo is unbothered by Julius Malema’s decision to sue him for claiming that Julius had physically abused his wife.
Malema and his wife are taking Mamabolo to court for R1 million each over the allegations.
Nevertheless, ANC MP Boy denied speaking to anyone outside parliament he reported on Wednesday.
He said he would support himself in court if the case continued.
“We are going to court. Let’s go to court. I am going to prove my facts in court,” said Mamabolo.
ANC Boy created the accusations during the SONA last Thursday.
EFF leader Julius Malema said ANC MP Boy restated the claims outside of Parliament and was now suing him for R1m.
ANC Boy had made the accusations again during the SONA debate when he questioned Malema if he was abusing his wife.
Malema then also claimed that President Cyril Ramaphosa was physically abusing Nomazizi Mtshotshisa his late former wife.
ANC MPs said Malema was not responding to the question instead he was causing havoc with his answer.
Other Members of Parliaments notified that the issue of gender-based violence cannot be used to score politic points.
They said many women were murdered and molested in the country.
The issue of gender-based violence needed to be dealt with in a sensitive manner, it should not be ignored, they said.
