Google recently launched Assistant for Pixel 4 uses a voice AI that could only speak and understand English. However, the A-class tech company has rolled out support for other English variants like UK, Canada, Ireland, Singapore and Australia.
Google is currently empowering the voice AI to be able to speak and understand other languages.
Google recently announced that the new Assistant can now deal with Japanese for Pixel 4 devices. The tech company said this while adding that users that Motion Sense, which makes it possible to control the phone without touching it, is also available in Japan.
Following a report by Android Police, to use Google’s Assistant in Japanese, it has to be the only language you will enable, which means that you’ll have to disable any other language on your device.
It’s also very friendly to use because you can still activate the voice AI simply by voicing “OK, Google” even if you are on Japanese mood.
You may be wondering why it has to be just Japanese that the improved Assistant is supporting, but not to worry, we believe that Google is still working on including more languages — although there’s no clue as to why the tech giant chose Japanese.
