Roberto Firmino scored late winner in a 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace to extend League leaders Liverpool unbeaten run to 30 games.
The Brazil struck from close range in the 85th minute, shortly after Wilfried Zaha cancelled out Sadio Mane’s opener for the visitors who looked toothless in the first half with Mohamed Salah on the bench nursing a sore ankle.
Crystal Palace winger Zaha then wasted a golden opportunity to score a second equaliser late on when he blazed over from close range.
Palace defender James Tomkins also had a goal ruled out in first-half stoppage time by the video assistant referee (VAR) after Jordan Ayew was adjudged to have fouled Dejan Lovren.
Liverpool beating Crystal Palace means they have now gone 30 games unbeaten in the Premier League and have still dropped only two points in the league all season.
