Weather Channel App is built to help those who grows wary around other people when flu season strikes. If you’re one of them then you have a new tool in your arsenal. The newly updated version of the Weather Channel mobile app for Android and iOS now includes a Flu Insights feature that will use IBM’s Watson to alert you when influenza is about to strike.
The app machine learning to provide a 15-day flu forecast and a notifications that pop up at key times like the beginning of flu season or sure flu season. The app will help users stay away from heading to any gathering of many persons – where flu will be on the giveaway at no cost.
Developers said the app will clearly put you in the know of whatever the weather conditions are like, and you’ll also get prevention clue as well as CDC flu reports.
I don’t think the Watson app is a certified doctor despite the assurances littered here and there, but would advice users be more cautious while using it instead of staying back from an important occasion just because the Watson app predicted trouble along the way.
Just use carefully, the app could help you dodge the flu completely, or at least put it off when you can’t afford to fall ill. It’s a real-world use of AI that might actually improve your quality of life.
