KwaZulu-Natal ANC executive Sihle Zikalala has hammered crusades driven by previous eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede and her political opponents in the race to lead the eThekwini area.
He said Gumede and her political opponents had managed councils that were unfamiliar to the ANC and they would be called to account for themselves before the gathering’s heads.
Zikalala made the comments while tending to branch pioneers of the eThekwini area’s 110 branch in Durban on Thursday night.
He said Gumede and her political opponents, including previous ANC eThekwini provincial secretary Bheki Ntuli, had been conflicting with the estimations of the gathering.
“Regardless of whether you are in the gathering that supports Zandile or the one sponsorship [Thabani] Nyawose, why should you call an assembly?”
He said the crusades drove by these warring groups were unfamiliar to the ANC: “Every one of these companions will be called and clarify on whose order they’re acting.”
