South Africa has started its Spring season in a very dark manner. The 1st of September marked spring day which means the whole country was supposed to be blossoming and glowing with bright colours.
Most people in South Africa looked forward to this season. However, South Africa leaped into it on a very sad note. A number of women were reported missing, the family of Uyinene Mrwetyana who was a first-year student at the University of Cape Town received news that she was brutally murdered by simply utilising a public service (Post Office). A 6-year-old Amy-Leigh de Jager girl was kidnapped from her Vanderbijlpark school.
The Gauteng Province was set ablaze by a bunch of criminals with the intent of chasing foreign nationals out of the country. South Africa saw the scariest acts being carried out on the properties belonging to foreign nations and whilst the scene was unveiling a human life was lost.
In all these gloomy occurrences the President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa was expected to intervene and tame the condition. Our President’s silence was so loud. The citizens have been calling upon him to act as they were witnessing such terror. It is now Tuesday afternoon and there still hasn’t been any word from the president of the country.
Our president should come out of his hiding place and address us we are facing a national crisis. It was with joy when Cyril Ramaphosa campaigning for votes on the day of elections that he called all the celebrities on social media but when we face such crisis Ramaphosa remains silent whilst the situation is deteriorating. The question arises SINCE CYRIL RAMAPHOSA’S SILENCE IS SO LOUD, DO WE STILL HAVE A PRESIDENT?

Cyril Ramaphosa is a major shareholder in MTN. Move against their business and he will call those thugs to order. Nobody should preach that it is unlawful. We are talking of human lives here. Ramaphosa is complicit.
