Both you and I needs a break from the surging onslaught of work emails that hits our accounts every now and then. The latest feature in Google’s business suite will put an end to this, by warning senders whether random senders or authorized ones when someone they’re sending an email to is away or on vacation to chose an option.
The control feature is coming to both Gmail and Hangouts Chat, with a pop-up banner appearing at the bottom of the email compose panel or the chat window to warn senders that the recipient has an out of office entry on their calendar. The banner will also specify when the recipient is due back to the office.
The warning pop-up notifications are only available for users of G Suite, Google’s business tool suite. We think that is pretty good enough, since it’s most likely that only business users would be using out of office entries in anyways.
Google assures that the feature will be enabled in G Suite automatically and will be hitting users devices in the next few weeks from now.
If you are on those platforms mentioned above then expect to be in control of the emails you receive anytime soon.
