Laurent Koscielny might be demonstrating his intentions to get a transfer out of the club by refusing to join in the club’s preseason United State tour.
Arsenal said in a statement that was released on Thursday, stating their unreserved disappointment at Laurent Koscielny who is also the clubs captain and has played for the club from 2010 till date.
“Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel to the US for our pre-season tour. We are very disappointed by Laurent’s actions, which are against our clear instructions. We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time.” said Arsenal.
Though Arsenal didn’t mention the player’s transfer motives, but Laurent Koscielny has reportedly declared his intentions to head-on to France and and has equally asked the club to release him at the expiration of his current contract.
Meanwhile, thye 33 years old French professional footballer has made a total of 353 appearances for the Gunners. He won the FA Cup twice, and picked of the club captain crown at the beginning of last season immediately Per Mertesacker retired.
Arsenal hopes to settle it all with Koscielny when they are back from the tour, but it’s unclear whether Koscielny would have a change of mind to renew his contract with the Gunners at any special cost or will be insisting on transfer.
