Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp aren’t the only internet platforms that have been suffering from outage. As of mid-day, July 3rd, Twitter was experiencing some issues with sending direct message ‘DM’ and notifications.
We made lots of effort to find out from Twitter if it can clarify what happened, no concrete response but you probably won’t be able to send DM to anyone until whatever the issue is is resolved.
This is not the first time Twitter is experiencing a technical issue like this. You may recall the fail whale issues, but the social network company have more recently revolved around strange technical problems other than experience an outage like Facebook and Whatsapp had on Wednesday.
That makes the Direct Messaging failure all open. Though Twitter has really improved it services over the years and users seems to trust the platform the more, but that doesn’t mean that Twitter is immune to issues like outage.
We’re currently having some issues with DM delivery and notifications. We’re working on a fix and will follow up as soon as we have an update for you. Apologies for the inconvenience.
