Facebook announced at the F8 2019 developers conference that it was redesigning the social network smartphone app. Facebook new application, which has been updated with what the company called “FB5” version, appears to be more clean, faster and have Groups at the front and center.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “The app isn’t even blue anymore.” The change in colour is the first thing you’ll likely notice when you take a closer look at the new new app design. The new design is obviously rolling out to users across the world starting from today.
The company said they targeted to favour Groups the more with the latest design, making it more obvious. An overhauled Groups tab will show you a feed of activity from communities you’re subscribed to, while a new discovery feature will recommend you Groups you may be interested to join.
The Events tab is also coming out more pronounced with the Facebook new look. The Event will allow users see what’s happening around, and will also make it lots easier to find local businesses.
Before I forget, you must find Group recommendations some areas of the latest Facebook app, including Marketplace, Today In, Watch and the Gaming Tab, and on the News Feed. You will see more content coming from your Groups now. The new design will also make it easier to share stories from the News Feed directly to Groups, friends and family.
