16 years old boy died in Mondeor High school after being stabbed on the chest outside the Johannesburg South school premises.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said, “ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 08:14 to find another service assessing the boy. Assessments showed that the patient had sustained a stab wound to his chest and showed no signs of life.”
After the stab incident, authorities quickly initiated treatment to revive him, but eish, he’d died even while the effort was on.
Russel Meiring said, “Unfortunately, after some time, no vital signs returned, and he was declared dead by another service.”
Meanwhile, education spokesperson in Gauteng Steve Mabona said that MEC Panyaza Lesufi is on his way to the scene of the event to really find out what’s going on.
But it seems high schools are becoming porous than it should be. Lately, we are recording high crime rate in high schools. The education minister must put in a measure of cubing crime in schools.
Stop and search before getting into school premises can be implemented to ensure such things as knifes, guns and other dangerous weapons are not taken into schools
We’re still lacking information on who did the stabbing and what exactly went wrong and got to the stage of stabbing someone that bad. Once we make headway, we’ll publish them accordingly.
Breaking News: We just received news that a learner was stabbed and died on the scene, around Mondeor High School. MEC @Lesufi is currently on his way there. More details will be shared in due course. @Steve_Mabona 😔
