Manchester United will face a very strong disciplinary decision from UEFA’s authority after its fans lost control and engaged in an unacceptable act against the Paris Saint-German (PSG) fans following the Tuesday’s Champions League game at Old Trafford.
Both clubs are facing charges on the bases that their supporters threw objects during the last 16, first match, which PSG defeated Man United 2-0. PSG’s former United winger, Angel di Maria was photographed holding an empty bottle that had been thrown towards him from Manchester United supporters direction.
PSG charges are basically after fireworks were lit by their fans, as well as other acts of damages and crowd disturbance inside Old Trafford.
The Premier League side are facing charges that borders on the fact that their supporters blocked stairways during the match, which is absolutely against the safety and security regulations of European football.
UEFA said its Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body will handle these cases on February 28. Meanwhile we await the second match of the tie on March 6 in Paris.
Paris Saint-German is still suffering from the closure of one of its entrance at the Parc des Princes stadium as a punishment after their fans lit flares during their defeat to Real Madrid.
