Alicia Keys becomes the first woman to host the Grammy in 14 years as she’s all set to mount the stage on Sunday, more so, representing the women.
Alicia Keys says this year’s performances would be the ‘sickest’ yet it will feature superstars like Lady Gaga and Cardi B with many other music icons like country legend Dolly Parton and disco icon Diana Ross, who will surely take the stage for a Motown tribute.
We are also expecting a performance in honor of the undoubted legacy of late ‘Queen of Soul’ Aretha Franklin at this year’s Grammy ceremony.
According to Alicia Keys to CBS, ”this year’s greater representation from women was far overdue.”
Keys hailed the importance of having women represent fully at this year’s Grammy by saying: “particularly for women to have our seat at the table, to represent the fact that we are so here and so incredible and we are the creators of our music.”
