Two More Arrested For Tembisa School Double Murder As Case Intensifies

Two more suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the deadly attack at Inxiweni Primary School in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, last week.

Their arrests bring the total number of suspects linked to the double murder to four.

The pair, identified as Hope Shongwe and Benjamin Maditse, appeared briefly at the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court, where prosecutors confirmed the latest developments in the case.

Court Appearance Confirms Growing List of Accused

Shongwe and Maditse face double murder charges following the killings of school principal Ruth Tada and administrative staff member Nomafu Njombini.

The tragic incident shocked the local community and prompted a swift investigation.

The court has postponed the matter to next week Tuesday, allowing the state additional time to prepare.

National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane said the case has been pushed back to allow prosecutors to get ready for the accused’s bail bid.

“The matter against the two accused was postponed to Monday, the 1st of December. This is in order for the state to prepare for the bail application that they want to bring. So, as the state, we are not yet ready,” Mjonondwane explained.
